Facebook is Discussing Adding a Dislike Button
Facebook is considering adding a “dislike” button to their user experience. This is an addition that has been requested for many years and at least they are talking about it.
I never understood the like button, especial for certain sad posts. When someone posts that their grandma got run over by a reindeer, that is not fun. Yet, people still hit the like button, thus the need for a dislike. I wouldn’t like it if my grandma was run over by a reindeer.
Facebook has said that it may not be a “dislike” button because they fear that it will be used by the dark forces. They are considering something similar that will promote good.
“We need to figure out the right way to do it so it ends up being a force for good, not a force for bad,” Zuckerberg said in Menlo Park, California.
The Facebook dislike button will be a good addition for when the “like” button isn’t appropriate.
Although, Zuckerberg is discussing such an addition, don’t get your hopes up. They have been discussing this option for years now with no progress.
“We don’t have anything that’s coming soon,” Zuckerberg said.
So for now you are going to have to keep on liking the dislikable stuff.
