Find Your Blogging Voice To Save Your Blogging Life
Blogging is a great way to express yourself.
It is your space on the web to write about hobbies and interests and share it with other likeminded readers.
Or it can be a great way to connect with your customers and attract visitors to your business website.
That’s why it is so important to find your blogging voice.
The bad news
Unfortunately, in the saturated blogging seen, it can feel like you’re drowning in troubled waters. In the overcrowded world of mediocre blogs, it is important to find ways to differentiate yourself from the pack.
Let’s face it, a blog is of little use to you or your business if no one is reading it. Readers should be attracted to your blog because you have engaging and educational information presented with your personal style.
The good news
Your voice is the way you deliver your message and opinions. But finding your voice takes time to discover and to transform it into something that is uniquely yours.
Developing your voice involves creating a habit of writing every day. And it helps to write about something that you are passionate about. The more you write the more your inner-self flows out in your writing.
Many of the great bloggers say that you should write as if no one is going to read it. Or write as if you were writing a letter to a friend. When you write as if no one is reading it, you tend to let yourself go a bit more and that makes for interesting reading.
You begin to write as you really are and not as you think you want to be.
Write your passion
Many bloggers start because they want to make money; don’t get me wrong making money is a fine endeavor. There is no shortcut to success and that certainly applies to blogging or anything worth doing.
Writing every day is not easy under any circumstances but it becomes a lot easier if you are writing about something that you are passionate about. At the very least, make it something you have a great interest in and want to learn more about.
Be authentic
If you want to succeed, you need to stand out from the crowd, therefore, just be real. Don’t be afraid to let your personality show in your writing. Readers are interested in what you have to say, you just have to say it in a way that connects. Heck, I am still trying to fine-tune my voice.
Find your niche
If you were anything like me, and you were to blog about everything you were interested in you would have hundreds of categories. Bad idea. Finding a specific topic to blog about and it will increase your chances of attracting a loyal following.
Ask 20 blogger that has succeeded and they will give you 20 different paths to get there. One thing is for sure, you will never succeed if you don’t start.
